Living in poverty often limits access to capital, markets, training and other resources. Unbound families who face struggles with financial stability often include hardworking microbusiness entrepreneurs blocked from realizing their full potential. By supporting Livelihood Growth, donors fund microgrants that are awarded directly to entrepreneurs, empowering them to overcome these barriers, strengthen their businesses and build more stable, sustainable futures.

Here's how it works:

• 1. Entrepreneurs submit grant proposals, which are reviewed and approved by local staff and Unbound program participants.


• 2. Donors make a general donation or choose a proposal to fully fund.


• 3. With funding secured, entrepreneurs take action.


• 4. In time, entrepreneurs provide an update on their progress.
  
  

Livelihood Growth support gives entrepreneurs access to capital, financial services and training. Grants can be used to buy supplies, expand inventory and improve business spaces, helping the business scale over time. Since 2018, Unbound has provided over $1 million to microbusiness entrepreneurs, mostly women, helping families and communities lift themselves out of poverty.
