Why be an Unbound volunteer tester?
Ensuring our community of supporters has the best experience possible with our organization is an ongoing priority, and we’re always seeking ways to improve. Tester spots are limited, and you’ll be part of an exclusive group tasked with providing valuable feedback that impacts Unbound’s efforts toward continuous improvement.
What you'll be testing
Volunteer testers may be invited to virtually review and offer input on such things as web pages, concepts, user preferences and content messaging.
User research methodologies employed could include, but are not limited to, focus group participation, user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) testing and feedback, anecdotal or sentiment analysis (opinion mining), and look-a-like audience testing, among others.

Requirements to become a user tester
- — Complete and submit the Volunteer User Tester Form at the bottom of this page
- — All participants must be from the United States
- — Must be at least 18 years old
- — Must have access to a desktop computer or mobile device with high-speed internet, a functioning camera and microphone
- — Participation as a current Unbound supporter (sponsor or donor) not required
- — Participation is entirely voluntary; there is no cost to participate, and there is no compensation
What to expect if you're selected
Selected user testers will be notified by Unbound. As needed, you’ll receive invitations to review and provide feedback on anything from web pages to content messaging.
All testing will be virtual and may or may not be moderated by Unbound administration. Tests typically range from 10-15 minutes, depending on the questions or tasks, and can be completed on either a desktop computer or mobile device.
