For 45 years and counting, poverty doesn’t define the path. Families do.
This month marks 45 years of Unbound. Every step of these 45 years belongs to a child or elder and the people like you who walked beside them. So does every step ahead.

The next stretch reaches thousands more families, and we believe in what’s possible as we make the journey together.

In this season of giving, give a gift that will empower more families to pave a self-directed path out of poverty.

“I believe in you, and you are not alone.”
- Bob Hentzen

In 1996, Unbound’s co-founder, Bob Hentzen, walked 12,000 miles in solidarity — from Kansas City to Guatemala, then from Guatemala to Chile — to tell families one thing: I believe in you, and you are not alone. The families reached along that road have since walked paths many once thought impossible, building lives where they and future generations could thrive.

What began as one man’s heart for believing in people facing poverty has grown, through the faithfulness of sponsors and donors, into millions of lives reached — and countless families now carrying that same belief forward for others.
